Star Wars Outlaws

The first ever Star Wars Outlaws gameplay footage is now available, giving fans a first look at the first open-world game set in the Star Wars universe launching next year on PC and consoles worldwide.

The new footage, which was shared during today's Ubisoft Forward, focuses on the game's combat and exploration mechanics, story, and more. The game seems to feature everything that fans love about Star Wars, such as chaotic blaster fights, vehicular combat, luscious planets to explore, and some intense space fighting.

Ubisoft Massive was known to be working on an open-world game set in the Star Wars universe for a while, and yesterday, we finally learned that this game will be called Star Wars Outlaws. Set between The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, the open-world game by Ubisoft Massive will feature both iconic and new planets as players take on the role of Kay Vess, a young woman seeking freedom and the means to begin a new life together with her companion Nix, a long journey that will turn her into the galaxy's most wanted.

Following the release of Respawn's excellent Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it seems like the coming years will be as filled with Star Wars titles as the past few ones. While Ubisoft Massive is working on Star Wars Outlaws, Quantic Dream is working on Star Wars Eclipse, an ambitious game that will be much more than a reskin of the studio's latest title, Detroit: Become Human.

Star Wars Outlaws launches sometime in 2024 worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide.
